“A tent of the Winter Prairie is really an homage to the wonderful qualities of thin handmade flax paper. The paper was made on a vacuum table in long sheets, it is very thin, translucent and strong. I cut it into strips, glued them together and knitted the panels on a pair of bamboo poles. The knitted paper makes a wonderful rustle that sounds like someone walking through tall dry grass. All of us made hideaways, secret places long ago in different times. This is my memory of those times.”

“On the prairie, the wind blows and someone listens and waits.”
