“This installation, inspired by birds’ nests, alludes to memory and light. Themes of birth, safety, and shelter are undercurrents that literally weave through her body of work. The empty nests bear the haunting memories of past occupants, and the passage of time as defined by light. To the artist, light defines form, and is inextricably linked to time and place. In drawing, and making marks, it is light that fills the void created by form.”
