Litany, 1992

Handmade flax paper, wood, and string

Exhibited:
1992 – Queensborough Community College, Bayside, NY

“This sculptural installation, called Litany, was made for a small room at Queensborough Community College Museum, in Bayside, New York, in March of ‘92. The room was lined with black cloth; the structures are made from thin flax paper and white linen thread. The music is a Japanese Shakuhachi flute. The remembered litanies of our childhood, echo through our lives and sometimes comfort us, grant us a safe lodging.”
